What is 40 Years of Zen?
40 Years of Zen is a 5-day Neurofeedback Program in Seattle. 

What is Neurofeedback?

Why is it called 40 years of zen?
The idea is that these 5 days of Neurofeedback are equivalent to 40 years of zen practice.

How many people are in each training at 40 Years of Zen?
There is a maximum of 6 participants in each training, with that being split into 2 groups. 

Where does the 40 Years of Zen training take place?
The training center is in Washington, USA and your actual training takes place in a “pod”. You spend the majority of your time in these “pods” using neurofeedback technology. There is a trainer assigned to each group, so you have a trainer working with you throughout your experience. 

How much does 40 Year of Zen cost? 

Does 40 Years of Zen offer payment plans?
No. According to their website, they do not offer payment plans and payment must be completed before your training. They require a minimum of $2500 to secure your spot. 

What is included in the 40 Years of Zen training fee?
The 5-day training and food while you are there. It does not include travel, transportation, or living accommodations. 

Can anyone attend 40 Years of Zen?
You must apply and be accepted. According to the website, they screen all applicants to make sure it’s a good fit. 

What brain waves are focused on in this training? 
The main focus is on Alpha waves, with some minor focus on Gamma and Theta depending on the client.

How long do training days last?
According to the website your day starts ay 8:30am and ends at 7:00pm. The calendar breakdown is as follows
8:30 am Training Facility opens
8:30 am-9:00 am Decaf coffee and snacks
9:00 am-1:00 pm Training
1:00 pm-2:00 pm Lunch Break
2:00 pm-5:30 pm Training
5:30 pm-7:00 pm Dinner

How often do the 40 Years of Zen trainings take place? 
There is a training session 3 weeks out of every month.

Can I work in the off-hours?
40 Years of Zen says that they take your cell phones from you but will accommodate if you have an emergency. They recommend that you completely take the week off and use any free time to rest, reflect, and relax. 

How far away is the facility from the nearest airport?
The 40 Years of Zen Training facility is about 40 minutes away from the SEATAC airport in Seattle, WA.
